YWCA since 1945 has been providing supports to women and their children in Durham Region. A worker from the crisis care outreach program will have an information booth at Community Lunch for anyone to ask questions and receive guidance on how to live safe and empowered lives in the community.

Information and services including:

– Short-term crisis Counselling

– Assistance with creating a safety plan

– Information and referrals

– Advocacy with community organizations

– support in rural communities

– support at appointments

– information sessions

– assistance with navigating Ontario Works and the Ontario Disability Support Program
