Fill a Purse for a Sister

Fill a Purse for a Sister is a Registered Canadian Charity that helps support women and youth in need by providing a purse or bag, filled with personal hygiene items. These purses and bags are distributed to shelters and other organizations that support women and youth in need. The campaign runs annually from October to December.

In partnership with Adeline Pettit, our local Fill a Purse for a Sister Community Lead, TNDF is a drop off location for donations, and we distribute filled purses and bags to our community members through our programs.

Warm Tootsies

Warm Tootsies is an annual campaign we facilitate, in partnership with Carolina Munoz, to collect gently used and new winter clothing, such as boots, coats, hats and mitts for kids in Brock Township. Each fall, clothing is collected in Beaverton, Cannington, and Sunderland. The items are then distributed at a specific location on a specific date in each community.

Gift Cards

Depending on an individual’s needs and situation, gifts cards for gas, grocery, Thrift Hub, and Market Bucks (for Mobile Market) may be available for clients. Gift Cards are generally distributed to those who are experiencing extreme hardship in emergency situations.
