We are proud to participate annually in the Fill a Purse for a Sister Campaign and Warm Tootsies, acting as a drop-off location and additional support for both initiatives.
Warm Tootsies
Warm Tootsies is a free community program that helps children and youth stay warm this winter by providing access to winter clothing at no cost.
Donation Collection:
From August 15 to October 12, community members are invited to donate new or gently used children’s and youth winter clothing, including coats, snow pants, boots, hats, mittens, gloves, scarves, and other cold-weather essentials. Donations can be dropped off at:

Families are welcome to browse and take home winter clothing that fits their children. Any remaining items will be donated to The Thrift Hub in Cannington, where sales help support local residents.

Fill a Purse for a Sister
September 1 to December 1, 2026
Help bring comfort, hope, and dignity to women and youth in need by participating in the Fill a Purse for a Sister Campaign.
This annual initiative collects purses and backpacks filled with essential personal-care items, which are distributed to organizations supporting women experiencing hardship, including women’s shelters, domestic violence shelters, and social service agencies.
There are two ways to participate:
• Donate a new or gently used purse or backpack in good condition
• Fill it with new, unopened personal-care essentials such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and menstrual products

A purse filled with practical necessities can provide more than everyday essentials. It can remind someone that their community cares and that they are not alone.
