Harm Reduction
The Nourish & Develop Foundation (TNDF), in partnership with the John Howard Society, operates as a Harm Reduction Satellite Site.
What is Harm Reduction?
Harm reduction is access to safer-use supplies, education, and needle return services.
We offer harm reduction because it improves safety for the whole community. Harm reduction does not promote substance use — it reduces overdoses, prevents the spread of infections, and supports proper sharps disposal. This helps protect individual health, reduce strain on emergency services, and keep public spaces safer across Durham Region.
