Life Skills Workshops

Through life-skills workshops, we aim to empower all community members by providing them with practical knowledge and tools to help them thrive.

We bring in subject matter experts to cover a variety of topics, such as:

Babysitting

We partner with Compressions 4 You to teach children and youth (11 – 15 years old) how to provide care to children in a variety of age groups, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies.

First Aid & CPR

We partner with Compressions 4 You to offer comprehensive courses on compulsory first aid and CPR skills.

Financial Literacy

We partner with other organizations to offer workshops on a range of financial topics, dependent on community needs and available subject matter experts, to help people gain the knowledge and skills to improve their financial situation.

Parenting

We have certified coordinators on staff who facilitate Nobody’s Perfect; a program that brings parents together to share questions, learn about child development, talk about real-life experiences, work together, and discover parenting techniques.

Stay Safe

We partner with Compressions 4 You to inform children and youth (9 – 13 years old) on how to stay safe when they are without the direct supervision of a caregiver or a trusted adult, both at home and in the community.
